VACATIONS & FAREWELLS FOR THE JOINING

Episode 80: Vacations & Farewells for the Joining

(Back in Michigan, by the Gitcheegoome)

Lily:
I'm feeling cerulean, so it's time to go float.

Timeus:  Your boat?

Lily:  I'd prefer Olam's sailboat. Think he'd mind?

Timeus:  Not if I go too. That wouldn't rock you, would it?

Lily: No, I think I'm tough enough to take your straight talk. It should, in fact, be uplifting. But I warn you that my requirement for "vacation" means saying farewell to a lot of nonsense. Some of it, permanently.

Timeus: For example?

Lily: Uh, manipulating statistics to encourage people down and dependent. When 13% of a population commit 56% of the crimes, the President needs to honestly and courageously clarify his use of the word "disproportionate" in regards to that population. And he should practice what he preaches about "obsessions" that prevent such honest appraisals. Life and death are at stake and nobody knows that better than our law enforcement personnel, God bless them.

Or mocking pro-American, traditional values and true feminine liberation by privileged dimbulbs who are the beneficiaries of the very brilliance they demean.

And hey, how 'bout those health snares pretending to be about health when they're really about hostile take-overs of self-government by Big Government. Not the USA way. Are we witnessing an out-of-body politic disorientation here?

Timeus: Seems to have been a slow creeping to that effect. Maybe we should acknowledge the expanionist philosophy with a new phrase:"Total Government", short for the totalitarian kind. No, not very U.S.-friendly, if you're thinking Constitutionally, which, by definition, you should be.

Lily:  I'm with Jesus on this. I say we hand Big Gov--Total Gov--a single coin for their troubles. And we turn over their 1,000+ plus page Bible-length laws to God for judgment. It's not like we don't have alternative plans. What say you?

Timeus:  Hah! Good separation of Church and state. What else are you going to say farewell to so I can enjoy myself on the sail?

Lily:  Waving off the King Canutes and their proclamations to stop the waves of the ocean.

Timeus: Or drop the temps by a couple degrees. You'd better put real science in place of that junk then.

Lily: Farewell to bad politics; hello to good science. If it's good enough for India and China, it's good enough for me. There's ancient wisdom in both.

Timeus: What about good religion? You gonna welcome that aboard?

Lily: Yes, I have just begun the Pope's CARITAS IN VERITATE. Charity in truth. And truth in charity. True compassion that does not come from government coercion--or redistribution. I hope that's what I find there.

One sees why religion is central to the human condition when reading the highest thoughts put to serious reflection. Such an intricate weaving of the subtle changes in meaning that life's experiences render unto words.

I'll have to save the rest for summer reading and viewing. Liberty & Tyranny, Common Sense, The 5,000 Year Leap. Or reviewing all of Uncommon Knowledge's interviews with Charles Kesler, Harry Jaffa and Thomas Sowell. And more on the mark. Not the mark up and mark down of this Demwitted Congress.

You can't join together what is off the mark of liberty, you know. And too much of our present culture and politics are way off the mark.

Timeus: True, but don't take yourself too seriously, or never the twain shall meet.

Now Timeus says, it's time to square away.
